At Oilfield Piping Systems, we proudly maintain an active and ongoing three-year research collaboration with the University of Queensland’s Centre for Advanced Materials Processing and Manufacturing (AMPAN). This strategic alliance grants OPS unparalleled access to cutting-edge characterization and testing equipment, coupled with the expertise of leading researchers in the field.
Leveraging this unique partnership, OPS offers an extensive suite of characterization services, covering a wide spectrum from physicochemical assessments, mechanical evaluations, to in-depth microscopic and surface analyses, as well as specialized tribological studies.
Our current suite of techniques, integral to our continuous product enhancement and rigorous quality assurance measures, include (but are not limited to):
- Testing for guide strength and its adherence to rods.
- Comprehensive wear and friction characterization.
- Production tubing and PCP Guide wear test benches.
- A range of spectroscopic analyses encompassing Raman, XPS, NMR, FT-IR, XRF, and XRD techniques.
- Conventional Optical Microscopy, further complemented by advanced microscopy methods such as SEM/EDS and TEM.
- Non-invasive ultrasonic testing, enriched by X-ray Computational Tomography (CT) scans.
Furthermore, we remain adaptable and responsive to client needs, with the capability to deploy additional techniques upon request.
